PhotoShoot 7
Plan
For my sixth shoot I will be taking images of cityscapes however I will be taking the majority of them at specific angles where I can use the 'Tilt Shift' technique using Photoshop, in order to carry out this technique I need to use photos which have been taken at just the right angle, so that I can achieve the full potential of the effect. I have already experimented with the Tilt Shift technique, however it didn't work out as well as I would've wanted it too because the image that I used wasn't taken at the right angle. I will also be contrasting the two themes of old and modern as I think that this will create a good contrast between shoots and photos. This also gives me a concept, of old vs. new/ traditional vs. contemporary, to work with, from which I can create different shoots.
I think that this shoot was quite successful, as I have collected a number of useful images that I can use to experiment with throughout this project. I mainly focused on taking images of older style buildings rather than new styles. I edited the most successful photos from this shoot by increasing the contrast decreasing the brightness, this made the images appear more sharp in colour, this gave me quite a nice effect in terms of colours and tones. This shoot links in with my chosen theme as I have focused on taking images purely of buildings and things around the town. I have used natural lighting as I was obviously taking images outside .
