Chris Dorley-Brown

I have found another photographer than shoots their work using film rather than digital. He mainly photographs industrial landscapes as well as city landscapes. I like the simplicity of his work and how he makes the least significant landscapes look scenic. Some of his photographs capture industrial scenes where the others photograph modern architecture; I like the way that he incorporates street scenes with some industrial areas, and the contrast it creates.

Whilst researching this photographer and some others I have gained inspiration on different styles of street/landscape photography and what other areas I could visit to take a new photo-shoot. As I have previously focused on the contrast between old and new architecture, I have thought about photographing different aspects of where I live and to try and give the photos more of a retro feel. I chose to research this specific photographer because of his use of composition and how he photographs 'ordinary' scenes and still manages to make them look interesting.
