I have found a photographer who mainly displays their work on Instagram, @visonelie they work with urban/city areas. I chose to look at this photographer, as I liked the way they worked with composition and colour, his work mainly uses cold tones, usually with high contrast. This photographers work links in with my project research as they mainly photograph city landscapes, looking at their work has helped me to realise that I need to focus more on composition through-out my work in order to make the image more interesting. Although he typically shoots photos of large scale, semi important buildings his work has been useful for me to look at as he has gave me new ideas which I can incorporate into a new shoot. This photographer’s use of composition and focus displays that he thinks more about the detail included within his work, which I can use as inspiration for my future shoots.
Whilst looking at this photographer I also found a group of other photographers who focus on taking images of urban and city landscapes, they also put their work onto Instagram, which is where I discovered their work. They each take different styles of photo, which is why I found their work interesting. Although all of the photographers I looked at take images of urban scenes they all use unique styles that makes their work more significant. I will be choosing one of these photographers to talk about in my written study as I found their work the most interesting out of all of the other photographers I have previously looked at. As well as the main photographer (@VisionElie) I will also be mainly looking at @RyanMillier as they both capture urban/city landscapes however their use of composition and style is very different. @RyanMillier mainly uses symmetrical or leading line composition within his work which is something I want to try in my work, and @VisionElie uses a wide range of compositions within his projects.
